Masculine and minimal logo design for coffee shop
I absolutely loveddddd creating the Renegade Coffee Company mockup project because (if you know me) you know that coffee has a special place in my heart. When approached with the creative brief to create a minimalistic, yet masculine, brand I was so excited to start this.
Project Overview:
A new local coffee shop & bakery, Renegade, is set to open in a few months in Melbourne, Australia. The owners need help bringing their edgy, industrial branding vision to life.
About the Company:
The logo design for Renegade Coffee Shop & Bakery is the brainchild of a millennial couple obsessed with coffee and doughnuts. After traveling the world for 5 years in search of the perfect cup of joe and fluffy doughnut, we’re opening our first coffee shop and bakery location in Melbourne, Australia.
Business Mission/Goal:
“We believe in coffee, doughnuts and community.”
Their Brand Story:
Bold, masculine, slightly edgy, industrial but still comfortable, we like the idea of concrete textures, black and white — but we’re open to some color as well
Their Color Palette:
Along the bold and masculine theme, I kept darker and edgier colors for the main colors and then added some lighter neutral-ish colors to be cohesive with the color palette.
Logo Creation:
In keeping with the bold aesthetic, I chose a more modern font than I normally would have. I think this brings a modern feel to this new brand. I waved the primary and alternative fonts to provide movement throughout the branding.
