Search Optimization (SEO) is a great long-term solution for increasing brand growth for a website. SEO establishes trust, authority, and credibility with your target audience. With a few key strategies, increasing traffic, engagements, and conversions for increased profit is possible. Here are 9 SEO tips to enhance brand growth:

1. Know your audience

Knowing your audience is essential for proper brand growth. Establish a brand voice and key messaging related to your brand. Audience research is vital for answering users’ questions. Conduct keyword research once your audience is established.

2. Conduct keyword research

Identify commonly-used relevant keywords and phrasesused by your target audience. Include these words and phrases in website content, meta titles, meta descriptions, headings, and image ALT tags.

3. Establish and optimize your website for easy conversions

Although not an SEO strategy per se, it’s still worth mentioning that it’s vital to have established and optimized conversions for your website. Using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), mark applicable “Events” as “Conversions” in your dashboard so it’s easy to see when a user becomes a conversion. This can be a contact form, newsletter signup, reservation, or purchase.

4. Create high-quality, original content

Regularly publish high-quality, original content that is relevant to your target audience. Include target keywords, and provide value to your readers. Articles that begin with “How to…,” “X Tips for…,” “Best…,” are good blogs to write. This content can be shared in email marketing and social media, and can go beyond your channels.

5. Build high-quality backlinks

This is a tough one without helpful articles and resources on your blog. Building high-quality backlinks to your website from reputable sources increases your site’s domain authority, which establishes your site as a respected resource for helpful information.

6. Optimize your website’s loading speed

Improve your website’s loading speed by compressing images, minifying code, and optimizing your website’s code. The average user waits one second for a website to load before bouncing. Optimizing your website’s load speed can drastically increase users coming to your site.

7. Optimize for mobile use

Google has shifted its algorithm to prioritize mobile-friendly websites in search results. Mobile devices now account for more than half of all internet traffic. If your website is older than 15 years, chances are it’s not optimized for mobile.

8. Use local SEO strategies

If you have a local business, use local SEO strategies to improve your visibility in local search results. Google My Business, Yelp, and other online directories are great ways to get a leg up on the competition. But note: ensure your local information, including address, phone, and website URL, are accurate in all places.

9. Use Google Analytics and Google Search Console

Use free tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor your website’s performance, identify improvement areas, and measure your SEO strategies’ effectiveness. Google Analytics helps you determine when users leave your website, and Google Search Console shows you what keywords and pages are ranking.

HI! I'm

Creator with a sweet tooth and a lot of sweaters, based in VIRGINIA

I live in the South but am what seems-to-be ALWAYS chilly. I'm the youngest of three girls and have self-declared that I'm the ~funniest~ out of all three (but my sisters are like way smarter and cooler, it's fine I'm fine).

I worked in the corporate Marketing world for a few years and got really sick of the 9-5, so I up n' quit without much of a plan. And now? I get to create brands for some pretty awesome business owners.
